Hiking Guide

Lincolnville & Camden, Maine has many beautiful places to go hiking! Here are a few suggestions for trails to check out:

  • Ducktrap:  Enjoy this 3.1-mile loop trail near Lincolnville, Maine. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 3 min to complete. This trail is great for cross-country skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

  • Mount Battie: This is a moderate, 2.4-mile round-trip hike that offers stunning views of Penobscot Bay from the summit. The trailhead is located at the top of High Street in Camden.  Mount Battie Map & Guide

  • Ragged Mountain: This is a more strenuous, 4.4-mile round-trip hike that takes you to the summit of Ragged Mountain, where you'll find panoramic views of the surrounding area. The trailhead is located off of Route 52, about 4 miles west of Camden.  Ragged Mountain Map & Guide

  • Megunticook Trail: This is a moderate, 4.8-mile round-trip hike that follows the Megunticook River and offers beautiful views of the river and the surrounding forest. The trailhead is located on Route 52, about 3 miles west of Camden.  Megunticook Map & Guide
